Uploading a Dataset

⬆️Importing Data

Importing of data can be handled through the controls above the Imported Data Table

🚧To import/upload data into the system, please follow the steps below:

The Import Data view displays the Imported Data Table

🚧To navigate to the Import Data view:

  • Go to CDR Administration -> Import Data via the navigation bar

Open the Upload View

The Upload view handles all input for uploading data to the server

🚧To open the Upload view:

  • Click the Upload button above the Imported Data Table

Select a File

Selecting a File tells the application which file on your device you would like to upload

🚧To open the Upload view:

  • Click the Upload button above the Imported Data Table

  • Select the file you wish to import

  • Click the Open button

Select a Mapping

The Mapping lets the server know which format the file being uploaded is written in. Therefore, the server can parse it properly.

The available Mappings can be selected

Code System Import (Reference Terms)

Imports a flat list of reference terms into the SanteDB database for a specified code system

Code System Import (Concepts)

Imports a flat list of concepts into the SanteDB database for a specified code system

Native Dataset Import

Performs no mapping — only parses datasets

ONC Patient Matching Challenge

Converts data from the ONC patient matching competition into SanteDB format. You must have an EID and MRN identity

PDH Facility Microdata Import

Allows for the import of facility metadata from Pacific Data Hub's Start Data Explorer (stats.pacificdata.org).

CDC IIS CVX Import

Imports the Web IIS (CDC) CVX vaccine codelist

CDC IIS CVX Vaccine Groups

Imports the Web IIS (CDC) CVX vaccine grouping list and creates necessary relationship mappings

SanteIMS Material Product & Lot Import

Allows for the import of batch/lot numbers and product trade names from a foreign data source

For Test Data

The ONC Patient Matching Dataset is included standard with SanteDB

🚧To select a Mapping:

  • Click the Mapping input

  • Select a Mapping option

Upload the File

This step will upload the select file and associated mapping to the server

🚧To upload the file:

  • Click the Upload button

Default Process for Uploads

📥the imports are usually placed into a Staged state.

  • 🏷️This state indicates that the file is valid and ready to be executed.

🏭The import process is executed by the Import Foreign Data background process ➡️ which is automatically run at ⌚midnight every night.
