Editing a Place
Editing a Place in the system can be done by following the steps in this guide

Navigate to the Reference Data -> Places view
Click on the View button in the Actions column

After, you should be redirected to the Edit Place Form

Header Panel
The Header panel will display basic information about the Place and allow you to Download an Export, and Change the Visibility of a Place

Name, Classification, and Type
The Name, Classification, and Type of the Place are displayed in the Header panel.

Name
Located in the left of the Header panel
(e.g. New City)
Classification
Located in the left coloured box, after the Name
(e.g. City or Town)
Type
Located in the right coloured box
(e.g. Community)
Status
Status allows the ability to flag a Place as
Active,Inactive,Obsolete,Nullify

Active
The Place is flagged active to be used in the system
Inactive
The Place is flagged inactive. This Place will no longer be used with this status.
Obsolete
The Place is flagged as retired or no longer exists
Nullify
The place is flagged as ignore
✏️Updating Status of a Place
The Status of a Place can be updated at any time

🚧To update the Status of a Place, please follow the steps below:
Address
The Address of the place is located in the bottom of the Header Panel
Place Properties Panel
The Place Properties panel displays and manages general attributes about a Place

✏️Editing the Place Properties
To edit the Place Properties, click the Edit button in the panel header.
After, the Place Properties panel will become editable

The tabs in the Place Properties panel can be described below
Properties
The General Properties of a Place are the Classification, Type, and Name

🚧To update the General Properties of the Place, please follow the steps below:
⭐(Optional) Update the Classification
Classification
Classification references the the classification of a place.
🗾This is the division or segment of what this new Place represents
(e.g. Country, Nation, County, State, etc...)
Click on the Classification input.

After, a dropdown will appear with classification options

Search and select a Classification from the option in the dropdown

⭐(Optional) Update the Type
Type
Type is used to represent the sub-classification of a place.
This is used to identify a specialized category for the Classification of the Place
(e.g. Community, Island/Division, Village/Settlement Zone/Region, etc.)
Click on the Type input

After, the dropdown with available Type options should display

Select a Type for the Place
After, your new option should be updated in the Type input

Name
Managing the Name of a Place allows managing the Name Type and the Name for a Place, or adding multiple names for a Place

Addresses
Managing Addresses involves updating and creating new types of Addresses for a Place

🚧To update Address properties of the Place, please follow the steps below:
Hierarchy Panel
The Hierarchy panel displays and manages relationships of other Places to this current Place

Place's Parent
The Place's direct parent for this Place in the Place hierarchy. (e.g. a
regioncan be a part of acountry)

Place's Children
Children are the adjacent places the fall within this regional place. (e.g. a series of
citiescan be part of aregion)

✏️Managing Hierarchy of a Place
Updating the Parent, and adding Children are ways of managing the Hierarchy of a Place

⭐(Optional) Add a Child Place

To add a new Child Place:
Click on the Child input
Search for Place
Select a Place option
Click the Add button
Adding More Children Places
In some cases, there might be many Places within another Place (e.g. multiple
citiesin oneregion)
To add more Children, repeat the same steps for ⭐(Optional) Add a Child Place
Service Facilities Panel
The Service Facilities panel allows you to manage and add relationships from Facilities to a Place (or vice-versa). This helps create the hierarchy connection between the Facility and the Place

🚧 To Add a Facility to a Place, please follow the steps below:
Associate an Existing or New Facility
When Associating a Facility, you may associate an existing facility or associate a new facility.

Associations

Associating an Existing Facility is creating a brand new Facility registration and associating that reference from that Facility to the selected Place
🔗➕Associate New Facility
Associating a New Facility is creating a brand new Facility registration and associating that reference from that Facility to the selected Place
Select Association
Select the Associate an Existing Facility option in the Associate Facility window.

Select Facility
Click on the Facility search input.

Select a Facility option from the drop down.

Click the Add button to add the existing Facility as a Service Facility for this Place

Open the New Facility Form
In this step, we will need to open the New Facility Form in order to register a new Facility
🚧To open the New Facility form:
Select the Associate an New Facility option in the Associate Facility window.

After, the New Facility Form will display

Define the Type of the Facility
The Type of the Facility is the sub-classification of a Facility

Type
This indicates the Type, or sub-classification of Facility. This can also be described as the primary role or function that this facility specializes in.
(e.g. Ward, Community Hospital, Local Community Health Center, Vaccination Clinic, etc.)
🚧To define the type of Facility:
Click on the Type input.
After, the drop down options will display

Select a Type from the dropdown
Define the Official Name
The Official Name is the officially registered name of the Facility
🚧To define the Name of the Facility:
Enter a new Name in the Official Name input.

Define the Country
The Country is the country that this Facility is geographically or regionally located
🚧To define the Country for the Address:
Click on the Country input.

Search and select a Country from the options

⭐Define the Province (Optional)
The Province is a partition of a country (also known as a
Region,Territory,Zone, etc.)
🚧To define the Province for the Address:
Enter the Province/State/Territory into the Province input.

⭐Define the City (Optional)
The City is a municipal area (also known as Town, Municipality, City, Village, etc.)
🚧To define the City for the Address:
Enter the City into the City input.

⭐Define the Street (Optional)
The Street is a location (building number, unit number, etc.) which is used to locate the address on a street or road.
🚧To define the Street for the Address:
Enter the Street into the Street input.
⭐Define Postal/Zip (Optional)
The Postal/ZIP is a codified representation of the address used for postal delivery and/or package routing, etc.
🚧To define the Street for the Address:
Enter the Postal Code or ZIP Code into the Postal/Zip input.

⭐Need More Address Fields? (Optional)
More fields can be displayed and managed if needed.
🚧To display more Address Fields:
Click the More Fields button at the bottom of the fields
After, more fields should be displayed in the form for an Address

⭐Define the Unit/Suite Number (Optional)
The Unit/Suite number is the unit, suite, office, or other sub-division of the building
🚧To define the Unit/Suite for the Address:
Enter the Unit or Suite number into the Unit/Suite # input

⭐Define the Additional Information (Optional)
The Additional is a location which assists in the locating of the address (i.e. closes intersection, ward, etc.)
🚧To define the Additional field for the Address:
Enter Additional Information into the Additional input.
⭐Define the Care of Instruction (Optional)
Care of Instruction (i.e.
C/O) is if delivery or other mail delivered to this address requires acare-of instruction
🚧To define the Care of Instruction for the Address:
Enter the Care of Instruction into the C/O input.
⭐Flag the Facility as Mobile (Optional)
Check this box to indicate that the facility is not fixed (for example: a portable facility, vehicle or bus) as opposed to a building
🚧To flag the Facility as Mobile:
Check the Is Mobile checkbox.
⭐Define a Known Geolocation (Optional)
Known Geolocation is a checkbox that flags, and allows inputting coordinates for the Facility
🚧To define a Geolocation for the Facility:
Check the Known Geolocation checkbox
After, the Latitude and Longitude inputs should display

Enter the Latitude into the Latitude input. As well, enter the Longitude into the Longitude input.

⭐Define the Parent (Optional)
The Parent of a Facility is the direct parent of this Facility in the Facility hierarchy

🚧To define the Parent of the facility:
Click on the Parent input.
After, a drop down will display with options for the Parent of the Facility

Search and select a Parent option in the dropdown
Create the Facility and Associate the Facility to this Place
This step will use the information defined in the above fields and actually create the Facility. After, this new Facility will be associated to this Place
🚧To add this new Facility, either:
click the Add button

Or, use one of the many Add variants by click the 🔽 button.
⭐Add Options (Optional)
There are many options for add such as
Add & Create AnotherandAdd & Go To

Add & Create Another— Allows you to add this new facility, then keep this window open to repeat the same process:create and associate a facility, orassociate an existing facility
Add & Go To— Creates this Facility, adds it to this Place, and then navigates to this new Facility's edit page so you may manage it
Relationships Panel
The Relationships panel displays entities that relate to the Place. This will also visually reveal hierarchies and relationships.

Relationship Controls
The Relationships panel will allow changing the view mode and printing the current diagram.

View Mode
The View Mode allows changing the type of relationship algorithm

Simple Relationship Graph
Advanced Relationship Graph
Full Relationship Graph
The Relationships Diagram may be printed by clicking the Print button

The Relationships Graph displays the relationships that the Place currently has with other Places

Relationships Legend
The Relationships Legend references the entities that are displayed with the Relationships Graph
