Viewing Admin Logs

Administration Portal Logs

Logs for the Administration Service can be accessed using the System->Logs panel.

This will provide insight and details into what the service is doing or any possible errors or warnings that the service might have encountered.


Viewing Logs

🚧To view logs within a log file, please follow the steps below:

Locate the Show Logs From dropdown.

Click on the dropdown and select Local Service.

Locate the log file which pertains to the timestamp

The timestamp indicates the time frame the service is being logged for

Click the View button to view the log file chosen.

Scroll through the logs and find the relevant log information for the situation you are diagnosing.


Download a Log File

Use Case

Log files contain a lot of information about the server.

👥Some users might prefer to download a log file to:

  • 🔨use of a separate tool because of their familiarity

  • 🧑‍💻view logs with color/syntax highlighting

  • 👀see the logs on a larger screen

  • 🔍filter and search logs

🚧To download a log file, please follow the steps below:

Follow the steps from View Logs (seen above).

Click the Download button (located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen).

Select on your device where to store the log file.
