Enable Background Job

To use the Notifications feature, the Background Job must be enabled for Notifications

🚧To enable the Background Job, please follow the steps below:

Navigate to the Background Jobs View

The Background Jobs view handles displaying and managing Jobs in the ICDR

🚧To navigate to the Background Jobs view:

  • Click on the System -> Jobs link via the navigation bar

After, the Background Jobs view will display

Open the Register Job View

The Register Job view handles adding new jobs

🚧To open the Register Job view:

  • Click the Add button located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

A Register Job window will appear.

Locate the Notification Job

The Notification Background Job is the job which handles sending notifications

🚧To locate the Notification Background Job:

  • Search the list of available jobs for NotificationSendingJob.

Register the Notification Job

Registering a Job is handled by the Register button

🚧To register the Notification Sending Background Job:

  • Click the Register button.

A pop-up window will appear to confirm that the selected job should be run.

  • Click Ok to proceed with registering the job.

After, the Register Job window and Confirmation window will close.

There should be a notification indicating registering the job was successful.

Verify the Job has been added

This step will verify that the Notification Background Job has been successfully added

🚧To Verify that the job was successfully registered:

  • locate the Job in the Jobs Table.
