Adding a new Material
Adding a new Material to the system can be done by following the steps in this guide

Define the Material Type
The Material Type is the overall classification concept of this material.
🚧To define the Material Type for the Material:
Click on the Material Type input.

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of available Material Type options

⭐Filter/Search available options (Optional)

Select an appropriate option

Define the Dose Unit
The Dose Unit is the real-world units in which the material is administered, prescribed or ordered. (e.g.
Dose,Puffs, etc...)
🚧To define a Dose Unit for a Material:
Click on the Dose Unit input

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of available Dose Unit options

Search and select an appropriate option

⭐Define the Special Instructions (Optional)
The Special Instructions is any special long-form documentation about the material including:
how it is administered,
any safety or regulatory concerns,
etc.
🚧To define Special Instructions for the Material:
Enter the Special Instructions for the Material in the Special Instructions input.

⭐Define Components and Parts (Optional)
Components and Parts panel relates to Parent, Parts, and Bundled Materials

Define a Parent
A Parent is another material If this material is a subclass of another material — this would be the parent material. (e.g. an
mRNA COVID vaccineIS ACOVID vaccine— This would be theCOVID vaccine)
🚧To define the Parent of the Material:
Click on the Parent input

After, a dropdown will appear with a list of available Parent options

Search and select an appropriate option
Define Parts
Has Parts is used if this material is composed of multiple attributes of other materials, then the parts should be listed here. (e.g. a
MMRVvaccination material may have parts consisting of aVaricella,Measles,RubellaandMumpsmaterials)
🚧To define other Composed Materials of a Material:
Click on the Has Parts input

After, a dropdown will appear with a list of available Materials to apply as materials composed with the associated Material

Search and select appropriate options
Define Bundled Materials
Bundled Materials are defined if the use of this material requires the use of another material (e.g.
syringe,diluent, etc...)
🚧To define Bundled Materials with this Material:
Click the Bundled Materials input

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of available Materials options that can be bundled with this Material

Search and select appropriate options
Define Regulation and Manufacture Details
The Regulation and Manufacture panel displays and manages fields related to Regulation and Manufacturing. This relates to fields such as
Regulatory BodyandApproved Treatment

🚧To define Regulation and Manufacture details for a Material, please follow the instructions in the following tabs:
Define the Regulator Body
The Regulatory Body is the body is in charge of this material, or should be notified for further investigation when safety concerns arise from use of the material

Click on the Regulatory Body input

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of available Regulatory Body options

Search and select an appropriate Regulatory Body option

Define the Approved Treatment
The Approved Treatment(s) is/are one or more conditions or problems that this material is used commonly to treat or prevent
🚧To define one or more Approved Treatment(s) for a Material:
Click on the Approved Treatment input

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of available Approved Treatment options

Search and select appropriate Approved Treatment options
