Purging a Queue

🧹Purging a Dispatch queue can empty the queue of messages and clear all messages.

ℹ️In other words, this makes the queue have 0 messages.

Use Case

Sometimes messages pile up and at the time it is noted, the messages have become outdated and/or obsolete. In cases like this, a fresh start is needed.


🧹Purging a Queue

🚧To purge a queue, follow the steps below:

Navigate to the System -> Dispatch Queue.

Select the desired service where the Dispatch Queue lives from the Show Logs From dropdown

Show Logs From Options

  • Local Service – The Administration Portal Service

  • Realm Service – The iCDR Service

Locate the desired Queue Record in the Dispatch Queue Table.

Click the Purge button (located in the actions column).

Click Ok to proceed with purging the queue.

Verify the count of Waiting Messages changes.
