Uploading Concept Sets

For bulk uploads, administrators may create a concept of many concepts in a CSV sheet and may upload using a template

A Template is provided through the Upload Concept Set view.

🚧To download the Concept Sets Template CSV file, please follow the steps below:

Open the Upload Concept Set View

The Upload Concept Sets is handled by the controls above the Concepts Table

🚧To open the Upload Concept Set view:

  • Click the Upload button above the Concepts Table

After, the Upload Concept Set view should be displayed

Download the CSV Template

The Upload Concept Set CSV Template can be downloaded through a link in the Upload Concept Set view

🚧To download the Upload Concept Set CSV Template:

  • Click the Download Sample Concept Set CSV link

After, the file will begin downloading to your device.

‼️You may be prompted with a window to save the file to a location on your device

How to Populate the Template

The Template follows a particular order of Columns

The file downloaded should look similar to this

These columns can be described below:

Mnemonic

The unique concept mnemonic for the concept (if the mnemonic matches an existing concept it will be used)

Name

The name of the code in the selected language on the upload

Class

The general classification of the concept one of Other, Status, Relationship, UnitOfMeasure, Route, Finding, Problem, or Form (hint: Other is recommended for most concepts)

Comments/Notes

Any other optional details or comments to record with the Concept

🚧To upload Concept Sets as a CSV file, please follow the steps below:

Open the Upload Concept Set View

The Upload Concept Sets is handled by the controls above the Concepts Table

🚧To open the Upload Concept Set view:

  • Click the Upload button above the Concepts Table

After, the Upload Concept Set view should be displayed

Select the CSV File to Upload

Selecting the CSV File will tell the application which file you would like to upload for import

🚧To select a file:

  • Click the Choose File button

After, a file dialog window will display prompting for a file to upload

  • Select the appropriate file

  • Click the Open button

Select the Language

The language selected tells the application which language to associate for the contents of the uploaded file

🚧To select a language:

  • Click the Language input

After, a dropdown will appear with a collection of the available language options

  • Select an appropriate language option

Upload the File

This step will send the selected file and language association to the ICDR

🚧To upload the file:

  • Click the Upload button

After, a confirmation window will display asking to confirm uploading the populated template file

  • Click the Ok button

After, the confirmation window will close and you should see two success notifications in the top right-hand corner of the screen
