Creating a Concept Set

Creating Concept Sets are managed by the controls above the Concept Sets table

🚧To create a new Concept Set, please follow the steps below:

Open the Create Concept Set View

Creating a Concept Set is started by clicking the Add button above the Concept Sets table

🚧To open the Create Concept Sets view:

  • Click the Create button

Define the Name

The Name is a short, descriptive, human readable name for the Concept Set.

🚧To define the Name for the Concept Set:

  • Enter a Name into the Name input

Define the Mnemonic

The Mnemonic is A unique mnemonic for the concept set.

This is what is used in the user interface and database triggers to reference the concept set by a non-changing name.

🚧To define the Mnemonic for the Concept Set:

  • Enter a Mnemonic into the Mnemonic input

Define the OID

An OID is a universally unique identifier for the Concept Set.

Format

The OID should be unique object identifier in dotted form.

This value is used to expose the concept set to other systems.

‼️This value must be globally unique

🚧To define the OID for the Concept Set:

  • Enter a OID into the OID input

Define the URL

The URL is a unique resource locator to the definition of the terminology.

The URL of the Concept Set which is used when the Concept Set is exposed on FHIR interfaces.

🚧To define the URL for the Concept Set:

  • Enter a URL into the URL input

Save

Once the administrator has completed the necessary fields, this step will commit the new Concept Set into the application.

🚧To save the new Concept Set in the application:

  • Click the Save button
