Adding a Device

Registering a Device

When a new device is connected to the central server, it is registered.

During registration, the system:

  • records the device’s name,

  • generates a security ID, and

  • assigns policies that define what the device can access.

Extended properties such as model, operating system, designated facility, and designated person can also be captured, along with authentication certificates and digital signatures.

Once Registered
