Editing a Device

After registration, administrators may need to update a device’s configuration.

Use Cases

Editing a Device ensures that devices remain accurate and aligned with current security and operational requirements without having to re-register them from scratch.

Editing a Device can include:

  • changing its assigned policies,

  • updating metadata, such as:

    • the designated facility,

    • the designated person (i.e. User)

    • operating system,

    • model name of machine

  • replacing expired certificates

Navigate to the Security->Devices view

Locate the Devices in the Devices Table

Searching

Searching for a Device can be done by:

  • 👀manually finding the Group, or

  • 🔍using the search field (located in the top right-hand corner of the table)
