Patient Dashboard

Purpose

The Patient Dashboard provides a real-time overview of patient activity at your facility. It helps staff quickly access recently seen patients, review population trends, and identify possible duplicate records to maintain data accuracy in the IIS.

1. Recent Patients

The Recent Patients section shows a card view of the most recently registered or accessed patients at your facility. This is the fastest way to reopen patient charts without needing a full search.

Each patient card includes:

  • Patient Name, Age, Gender

  • IIS Unique Number and Date of Birth

  • Address (home address, facility zone)

  • Relatives / Family Members with phone number

Available actions on each card:

  • Start Visit → Begin a new encounter for the patient.

  • View → Open the full patient record.

Additional features:

  • Search Bar – Quick lookup by name.

  • View Filters – Switch between Grid View (card layout) and List View (table style).

2. Patient Summary

The Patient Summary provides a visual overview of the patient population at your facility. It is divided into two charts: By Gender and By Age.

By Gender

  • Displays a pie chart of gender distribution.

  • Categories: Female, Male, Other/Unknown.

  • Hovering shows exact patient counts.

By Age

  • Displays a line chart of patients by age group.

  • X-axis = age in years; Y-axis = number of patients.

  • Lines represent gender categories (Female, Male, Unknown/Other).

  • Shaded regions give a clear visual of population size by age.

Example: In a child clinic, most patients may appear under age 1, with decreasing numbers in older age groups.

Use the Patient Summary for quick snapshots of facility demographics. It is useful for outreach planning, vaccine stock forecasting, and identifying which age groups are most represented.

3. Possible Duplicate Records

The Possible Duplicate Records panel highlights patients who may have been registered more than once.

  • Flags patients with identical or very similar details (e.g., name, date of birth, mother/relative, address).

  • Staff should check this panel regularly to prevent duplicates from being used in care.

  • If the panel is blank, no duplicates have been detected.
