System

Purpose
The System module provides tools for managing the technical operations and settings of the Immunization Information System (IIS). It supports activities such as monitoring background processes, managing local users, checking synchronization health, and submitting issues — ensuring the IIS remains reliable and secure.
This module underpins all other parts of the system by maintaining data integrity, security, and performance across clinics and servers.
Professional Standards
Data Security and Privacy – Ensures only authorized users access system settings and local data.
Reliability and Continuity – Enables offline functionality, synchronization monitoring, and backups to prevent data loss.
Accountability – Maintains detailed audit logs for oversight, compliance, and troubleshooting.
Performance Management – Allows administrators to monitor background jobs and technical health for smooth operation.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) – Protects sensitive tools by limiting configuration changes to trained personnel.
Summary
The System module is where administrative and technical functions are managed. Access to these functions depends on the user’s role:
Clinical Staff – can access Dashboard and Submit a Bug for basic monitoring and reporting.
Clinical Managers / Supervisors – have additional access to Local Users, Configuration, Security, and Backups.
Administrators / Technical Staff – manage Background Jobs, Probes, Logs, and advanced Network settings.
From this module, authorized users can:
View system health and version status through the Dashboard
Submit bug reports when an issue occurs
Manage local user accounts for offline access
Review security and facility settings
Run diagnostic probes and background jobs
Configure synchronization and network performance
For most frontline staff, this module is view-only. Configuration and management are handled by Clinic Managers and System Administrators to keep the IIS secure, stable, and compliant.
