Security Settings Page
The Security Settings Page is where information related to security can be viewed and modified

The following panels would be applicable for managing Security Settings for a User:

💳Core Properties
The Core Properties will display the following items
🆔Security Id
This is the id of the user record
📛Username
A unique identifier assigned to a user within the system.
📅Created By
This is the User who created the current User being viewed and when this User was created
📅Update By
This is the User who updated the current User being viewed and when this User was last updated
👮♂️Security Properties
The Security Properties will display the following items
📅Last Login
This is the date and time when the User last logged in successfully
#️⃣Invalid Logins
This is the count of invalid authentications for a User. There is a limit defined by the system. Please check the configuration to determine this limit
🏷️Role
This is the Groups that the User is apart of. This applies policies which allows the User to perform specific operations within the system
📧Security Email
This is the Email used to communicate with the User
📞Security Phone
This is the Phone Number used to communicate with the User
🥈TFA Enabled
This is a status of whether the User has enabled TFA for their authentication at login
🫳Access Patterns
The Access Patterns panel is a visualization which indicates if and when a User has accessed the system. This helps to determine visually if the User is access the system within or outside of the scope of working hours.
✏️How to Edit Security Properties
🚧To edit the Security Properties, follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before following the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the Editing a User steps
Click the Edit Button, located in the top right-hand corner of the Security Properties panel.
Next, update any one of the inputs by following the sections defined below

👀To Manage any of the Security Properties, follow the guides for any of the inputs below:
🔁Resetting Invalid Logins for User Account
💼In some cases, a User might enter their credentials incorrectly and they will be locked out in the system.
🔁An administrator will need to reset the Invalid logins counter.
🚧To Reset the logins for a User, please follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before proceeding with the steps the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the ✏️How to Edit Security Properties steps
Click the Reset button next to the Invalid Logins Field.
After, a confirmation window should display.
Confirm resetting the User's invalid login count by clicking the Ok button.
After, the confirmation window will close.
Verify the Invalid Logins has change to 0.
👥Modifying Roles for User Account
💼In some cases, Users will need new policies applied in order to access parts of the system.
🚧To modify the Role(s) (i.e. apply new policies) for a User, please follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before following the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the ✏️How to Edit Security Properties steps
Click on the Role input.
Finally, click the Save button
After, the Security Properties should update.
The Save button is located in the top right-hand corner of the Security Properties panel.
Verify that new role is present.
📧Modifying Security Email for User Account
💼In some cases, Users will need to have their Security Email updated.
🚧To modify the Security Email for a User, please follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before following the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the ✏️How to Edit Security Properties steps
Click on the Security E-Mail field.
Enter a new email in the Security E-Mail field.
Click the Save button
After, the Security Properties should update.
The Save button is located in the top right-hand corner of the Security Properties panel.
After, the Security Properties should update. Verify that the new email is present.
📞Modifying Security Phone for User Account
💼In some cases, Users will need to have their Security Phone updated.
🚧To modify the Security Phone for a User, please follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before following the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the ✏️How to Edit Security Properties steps
Click on the Security Phone input.
Enter a new phone number.
Click the Save button
After, the Security Properties should update.
The Save button is located in the top right-hand corner of the Security Properties panel.
Verify that the new phone number is present.
🔁Resetting Password for User Account
💼In some cases, Users will need to reset their password.
This is needed if:
❓the User forgot their password and cannot recover their account
🚧To manually reset a User's password, please follow the steps below:
Prerequisites
Before following the steps below, ensure the following has already been done:
follow the ✏️How to Edit Security Properties steps
Click on the Reset Pwd button. After, a dialog window will display.
Click on the New Password input and enter a new password.
Click on the Confirm Password input and enter the same password used in step 2.
⭐(Optionally) If the user wants to change their password on the next login
enable the option User must change password on next login by checking it.
User Must Change Password on Next Login
✅Checked
If checked:
🔐the new password used in step 2 and step 3 will be used as a temporary password for the User to regain access to the system.
🔏the User will enter and confirm a new password when they login and that will become their new password.
❌Unchecked
If unchecked:
🔐the password used in step 2 and step 3 will be used as the User's permanent password.
