Searching for a Stock Store

Purpose

The Search and Filter functions in the Stock Dashboard allow staff to quickly locate stock stores. This is especially helpful when a facility manages multiple fridges, freezers, or cold boxes and staff need to find the correct one for counts, transfers, or issuance.

Open Stock Management

From the sidebar, expand My Clinic and select Stock Management.

Open Stock Dashboard

The Stock Dashboard opens, displaying all stock stores in the facility.


Search and Filter Methods

  • Use the Search bar on the right-hand side of the dashboard

  • Type all or part of the stock store name (e.g., Mini Cooler)

  • The list automatically updates to show only stores that match


Scenario Example

Scenario: Staff need to quickly locate the Mini Cooler cold box for an upcoming outreach session.

  • If they know the name → type Mini Cooler in the Search bar

  • If they only know it is a Cold Box → use the Type Filter to limit the view

Both methods allow staff to quickly find the correct store without scrolling through the entire dashboard.


Key Notes

  • Search by Name is ideal when the store’s name is known

  • Type Filter is best when staff only know the equipment type

  • Search and Filter can be used together (e.g., filter to Refrigerators, then search “Main”)

  • To include disabled stores, check Show Disabled in the dashboard filters
