Viewing the Stock Ledger
Purpose
The Stock Ledger in Stock Management provides a complete record of every adjustment made to vaccine or supply stock at the facility level. This includes counts, wastage, obsolete items, and transfers, ensuring full traceability and accountability for stock movements within the facility.

Features

Adjustment Type → Indicates whether stock was added (+) or removed (–)
Sequence & Timestamp → Each entry is logged with a sequence number and exact date/time for chronological tracking
Material & Lot # → Identifies the vaccine or supply item, including lot/batch number
Adjustment Reason → Explains why the change was made, for example:
Physical Count → e.g., freezer shows 55 doses but only 50 are found → adjustment of –5
General Wastage → e.g., 2 vials broken during transport
Obsolete → e.g., batch expired and removed from stock
Stock Transfer → e.g., 20 doses sent to another facility
Adjustment Quantity & Balance → Shows how much stock was added or removed and the resulting balance
Filtering → Filter by Material or Adjustment Reason to narrow results
Search → Use the search bar to quickly locate records by name, lot number, type, or reason
Key Notes
The Stock Ledger is a permanent record: once entered, adjustments cannot be edited or deleted
Any corrections must be made through Counts, Adjustments & Transfers
Difference Between Ledgers
Stock Ledger (Stock Management) → Shows all adjustments made at the facility/store level (counts, wastage, obsoletes, transfers).
Session Ledger → Only records stock movements within a vaccination session (issued, returned, adjusted).
Together they provide full traceability:
Stock Ledger = Facility view
Session Ledger = Session view
